Amazing $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection has returned with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

Primary Feature

The standout feature is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and most notably, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

A regional fantasy map generated in the CC3+ software platform.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Full Package

For a minimum of $30, the 39-item bundle contains these components:

  • Advanced Terrain Generator
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Scene Builder
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Symbol Set 4: Dungeons of Schley
  • Symbol Set 5: Cities of Schley
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Creation Guide
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • 3D City Symbols
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Metropolitan Source Maps

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. The Bundle Filters option appear near the page top, though users may also choose any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. Additionally available is an "Adjust Donation" drop-down just below that, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
